DESCRIPTION

Apartments 140 and 141 are in the same building, located in the old city centre, at Chiado/Bairro Alto - place where a large part of the cultural, gastronomic and nightlife of Lisbon takes place.

The entire neighbourhood is more than 200 years old, and the building respects the 19th century style of architecture. All the apartments are decorated in a similar way.

There are three public car parks within 3 minutes walking distance.

Apartment 140 has 85 m2; it has abundant natural light and a balcony with nice views over the city, the river and the castle.

It has been renovated to include the following:

Ground floor:

  • one bedroom with double bed (1,60 cm x 1,96 cm);
  • one living room with dining table and a double sofa bed, satellite TV and Dvd player;
  • a kitchenette with a washing and dryer washing machine,  electric oven and stove, microwave, fridge withy freezer and everything else you could need;
  • a bathroom with bathtub (the access is through the bedroom).

First floor:

  • one bedroom with two single beds ( 90 cm x 190cm). From this window you can enjoy a fantastic view over Lisbon.

 Wireless broadband access available for those who have their own laptop with Wi-Fi compatible equipment.

We will welcome you with a bottle of typical Portuguese wine.
You will also find in the apartment various CDs with Portuguese music to complete your cultural experience in Lisbon.

LOCATION

Apartments number 140 and 142 are located at Rua da Oliveira ao Carmo, a street at Chiado next door to Bairro Alto. There are several other apartments at Bairro Alto.

The flat is located at the side of largo do Carmo at Chiado, near a lot of trendy shops, two minutes walking to café Brasileira, very close to several museums, operas (S. Carlos), theatres (S. Luis) and churches and also to all the restaurants and bars of Bairro Alto where the sentimental 'fados' are still sung in certain restaurants and cafés. It is also 5 minutes walking to Rossio, the centre of Baixa, rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755.

Nearby you have the underground (Baixa-Chiado), and 15 minutes walking you access the train station (Cais do Sodré) to Cascais and all the beaches around.

The nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport at 12 kilometres; the nearest railway station is International Station of Santa Apolónia at 1 kilometre.

Come and see for yourself!

We had a wonderfull time in Lisbon thanks to your company.

The apartment was very nice, fantastic view from the windows on Lisbon.

The furniture in the apartment is in a good conditions but you can see that they been used. The important thing was that apartment was clean.

The apartment was in a perfect spot we were walkind downhill to all the Lisbon attractions.

The lady from the agency was very nice and helpfull she advice us where to eat, where we can buy a tram and bus tickects, where we can listen fado.

We also found a brochure in the apartment about all the important places like pharmaces, hospital, police etc as wel as recomendation of a good restaurants, bars and fado.

We will come to Lisbon in next year with our children and we will rent the apartment again it's nice to live in the old centre and it's very convenient to have a kitchen where you can prepare whatever and whenever you like.
