DESCRIPTION
New apartment! Premium apartment in a vibrant location!
Apartment 13 is on the 4th floor (no elevator!) of a renovated historical building located in Rossio square. It offers an amazing view to the square and to the National Theatre D. Maria II (Teatro Nacional D. Maria II). This impressive building dates back to the 18th C and possesses high ceilings.
The perfect mix: location & confort. By staying in this flat you will be in one of the most exciting areas of the city and you will find a very comfortable, modern, spacious and bright place to relax.
Rossio square is the starting point of the city's main promenade. You are in the very heart of it. This is the ideal location for walking lovers as it allows easy access to the other picturesque neighbourhoods of the city, like Chiado, Bairro Alto, Castle (S. Jorge) and Alfama. It is also at a one minute walking distance to the subway and train stations that can take you to the beaches around Lisbon or the mystical village of Sintra.
You are also next door to Rua Augusta, a street full of restaurants and shops.
There are two public parking garages at your disposal within a 2 minutes walk.
The apartment is 120 m2 and includes the following:

one living room with dining and sitting areas, one double sofa bed, flat screen cable TV, DVD player and stereo. This area is provided with air conditioning;

Wireless internet connection available for those who have their own laptop with Wi-Fi compatible equipment.
In wintertime it is heated with electric heaters.

We will welcome you with a bottle of cold “vinho verde”. You will also find in the apartment various CDs with typical Portuguese music to complete your cultural experience in Lisbon.

After the big earthquake of 1755, when the centre of Lisbon was destroyed, a new centre was constructed, made of grid pattern “geometrical streets. This area, situated between Praça do Comércio, Rossio and Praça da Figueira is called Baixa. There are several other apartments at Baixa.
It is in Baixa, now the heart of Lisbon’s historical centre, where apartment number 13 is located.
In one Northern end of Baixa is Avenida da Liberdade, place of elegant fashion shops, hairdressers and also to a big health club. There you can catch one of the centenary funiculars Elevador do Lavra, to Pena and Elevador da Glória ("time Table") to Bairro Alto.
In the other direction (South), by the river Tejo (Tagus) you can find Praça do Comércio, the centre of the old Portuguese empire.
You are also within a few minutes walk to Chiado, the castle (S. Jorge), Bairro Alto and Alfama with all their historical sights, museums, monuments, bars and restaurants.
The area is served by 2 subway lines , numerous bus lines and tram lines that will help you explore the city and nearby tourist sights such as Sintra and Cascais or the beaches around Caparica and the Estoril coast.

Apartment 13 is excellent. The apartment is beautiful. The view from the apartment is very beautiful as one can see the entire breathtaking Rossio square. The location is very convinient,excellent as it is in the heart of the city and close to the all food outlets, shopping area , supermarket and business areas. Is fully equipped and if I do come to Lisbon I would always want to come to this aparment. Always tell a friend to stay in this apartment. Only a small suggestion, if the apartment could have a lift. Dont know how much it is fesible to have a lift for this building. Regards, |

Thank you for a wonderful stay and memories of a beautiful city. We throughly enjoyed the apartment, the space, the comfort and a nice little "home" away from home ! Lovely! Cosy! We are a family of 4 Australians currently living in Alexandria - Egypt. We chose Portugal as our first European travel experience as our 8 years old daughter loves portuguese tarts. The Pasteis de Belém is the best place by far... We were lucky to have them steaming hot straight out of the oven!! Delish!! We had a ball exploring the city, castles, palaces and restaurants, embracing the culture and taking home lots of beautiful memories. The apartment was worderfully furnished and decorated. If we come back to Portugal, we´ll definately choose apartment 13 with those spectacular views and central location! Thank you for the bottle of wine, it was a lovely touch and was lovely to have with a home cooked meal. For future tenants, enjoy your stay.. we hopeyou love it here as much as we did. |

The flat is fantastic! Views to die for! Loved the decor. The bathroom was beautiful with the view of the square. Would definitely recomend to go see Sintra - it´s such a beautiful place! All in all we had a fantastic 3 day stay. We would recomend it to friends and would love to stay again. Cheers |
