Apartment in Oporto 02 (managed by the owner)

This lovely, colorful, medieval apartment is placed in the oldest part of Oporto, at walking distance of the main sightseeing places and with easy access to beaches around also to the Porto wine caves.

It is on the fourth floor (no elevator) of an ancient building and has been renovated in June 2007 to include:

• one living/sitting room with a double sofa bed (140x200); it has satellite TV and hifi;
• one kitchenette with electric oven and stove, microwave, washing machine, fridge with frozen compartment and everything you can possibly need to have a comfortable stay;
• one bedroom with two individual beds (80x195);
• one bathroom with shower.

We will welcome you with a bottle of cold “vinho verde” and a basket of fruit.
You will also find in the apartment various CDs with typical Portuguese music to complete your cultural experience in Porto.

Our apartment at Porto is located  in Rua dos Mercadores.

Porto, by the river Douro is the city which named the famous wine.
It is a wonderful place to discover, and the perfect start point to explore the north of Portugal. It is a must for sightseeing, perfect for shopping (textiles, shoes and all kind of goods) and charming for nightlife.

You are right in the old city centre - Ribeira!  From there you can walk everywhere. You can also take one of the boad trips along the river Douro (from 1 hour till 3 days)
After Ribeira, if you cross the bridge S. Luis, you will be at one of the Porto's caves tasting some of the best brands.

Nearby the apartment you can also find public transports including the Porto subway (closer stop: the rich (azulejos) station of S. Bento at 500m) that can bring you from the airport or from the train station Campanhã. The train station S. Bento is at walking distance.

The metro can also take you to Póvoa de Varzim, where is a big beach and also one of the most famous casinos. If you prefer you can go to Espinho, to the beach or the casino. If you want to go to Foz (the nearest beach at the North bank) you can take the tramway and will be there in 10 minutes; further there are buses to Matosinhos, where you can enjoy more seaside.

We arrived in Porto by train and walked from São Bento train station to the apartment. It was quite an easy walk since we are going down slope most of the time.

Joanna was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel very welcomed. We really enjoyed our stay.

I'll certainly recommend her apartment to anyone who is going to Porto.

We had a very nice stay in Porto and the apartment is really very nice decorated.
You will find everything you need and it is very clean.
It is also very good located, lots of cafes, restaurants and all kinds of shops in the immediate neighboorhood.

Last year in August and September we were in Lisbon and Porto. That was a wonderful holiday. We have seen all of Portugal. The people was very nice, the food was very good, and the hospitability of Portugal are incomparable. The apartments in Lisbon and in Porto was too perfect, super clean, and snug.
