This accommodation at Oporto is located in Rua de S Victor. It is located in Fontainhas a very typical and quiet neighborhood of the city. Very close to apartment you can enjoy a magnificent view at the sightseeing point of Alameda das Fontainhas. It is a lovely promenade high above the Douro. This is close to the Cathedral (Sé) Neighborhood, one among the 4 (Sé, Miragaia, S. Nicolau and Victoria) at Oporto historic centre, elected in 1996 by the Unesco as World Heritage. Oporto's austere fortress-like cathedral (Sé) is where Prince Henry the Navigator was baptized. It’s origin dates from the 12th Century. S. Bento’s train station is also a must to visit due to the wonderful tiles. It is the beginning of the Douro line and has also connection to the subway and to the line from Campanhã (the connection to the north and south of Portugal). From here there is easy access to the bridge D. Luis (built between 1881 and 86 after Eiffel's associated Teofilo Seyrig's design) and way to Gaia and the Porto’s cellars area, where you can taste some of the best brands. You are also at walking distance of the other historic areas, namely Ribeira, by the river. The nearest metro stop is Campo 24 de Agosto (7 minutes walking). The metro can also take you to Póvoa de Varzim, where is a big beach and also one of the most famous casinos. If you prefer you can go to Espinho, to the beach or the casino.
