This exceptional four bedroom holiday apartment is set at the heart of the elegant neighbourhood of Chiado. Set on the 2nd floor (with elevator) it is located in a historic building, completely renovated, combining the best of old and new. It is in the same building as apartment 202.

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable stay in this wonderful holiday accommodation: art deco pieces, wooden floors, unique decorative ceiling. Spacious, luminous and well equipped.

Located on one of the main streets of chic and active Chiado, you will be surrounded by trendy cafés and shops. Definitely it is ideal for a stay in the city during holidays or for business...

The subway is at a few steps away and is it also walking distance to the train stations that can take you to the beaches around Lisbon, to Sintra and to all the sightseeing in and outside the city.

There are two public parking garages at your disposal within a 5 minutes walk.

The apartment is 200 m2 and has been renovated to include the following:

• one living room with sitting and dining areas, satellite TV, DVD and stereo;
• a bedroom with 3 single beds;
• a bedroom with 2 single beds (90 cm * 200 cm);
• a bedroom suite with a double bed (160 cm * 200 cm), walking closet and a bathroom with bathtub;
• a bedroom with double bed (160 cm * 200 cm);
• a bathroom with bathtub;
• a kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove and oven, dishwasher, washing and dryer machine, microwave and a fridge with freezer;
• a wc.

The building has an elevator.

All the rooms are provided with central heating.

There is a garage in another building not far away form the apartment that can be used by our guests.

We will welcome you with a bottle of cold “vinho verde”.
You will also find in the apartment various CDs of Portuguese music to complete your cultural experience.

Apartmets 200 and 202 are both located at Rua Nova do Almada, at Chiado. There are several other apartments at Chiado.

Chiado as re-emerged from the ashes of the big fire in 1988 after about 10 years. All the investment made in the renewing of this area, conciliating elegance of the past with the modern needs of comfort and design made this the most appreciated and expensive neighborhood of central Lisbon.

Chiado is considered the most beautiful area of historic Lisbon. It was a place of residence of the Portuguese royalty and of the political and cultural elites. Nearby are located the theatre S. Luis and the opera S. Carlos. A little further is Camões square (Praça de Camões), next to Bairro Alto, picturesque but raffish. Part of Lisbon's nightlife is concentrated in this quarter, where you can hear 'fados' being sung in some restaurants and cafés. Chiado and Bairro Alto are where locals and tourists meet, with elegant hotels, old cafés and the best international fashion shops. The flats are also a few minutes walking to a lot of trendy shops, and to the famous café Brasileira.

A 5 minutes walk takes you to the the funicular Bica and also to Rossio, in Baixa, the neighbourhood rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755. In the direction of the river, you can find Praça do Comércio, centre of the old Portuguese empire near the river Tejo (Tagus river).

It is close to shops, restaurants, cafes, banks, cash machines, public transports (inc subway station Baixa/Chiado station 50 meters away and electric trams) 24 hour taxi stands, etc. Also in the same square there are a pharmacy and a post office, as well as grocery shops within 5 minutes walking.

To go to Sintra or to Óbidos you must catch the train at Entre-Campos train station, which is just a short subway trip from Chiado.

The nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport at 12 kilometres; the nearest railway station is International Station of Santa Apolónia at 1 kilometre.

I must say I enjoyed my stay in Apartment 200 greatly, the apartment was fantastic and the location was perfect. Also a big thanks to Joana who received us, she was very professional, friendly and welcoming. As I really can't find any faults with the entire trip I have answered all the questions in your survey 4 out of 4. Lisbon is a beautiful city with plenty of sights to see and the night life is great. I will certainly be back.
